Doo Dah Parade 2015

On July 9, 2015, China began its large scale round up in China of human rights lawyers and their associates. Over 300 lawyers, staffs, activists have been beaten, threatened and criminally detained. On November 22, 2015, Visual Artists Guild brought attention to the crackdown with a performance art in the Doo-Dah Parade at the City of Pasadena in California. With the third anniversary of the 709 Crackdown as it is now known, we have updated the information of the lawyers we highlighted during parade. We ask that you continue to advocate for those lawyers who are currently in jail and detained.
