BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Representative of Congressman Adam Schiff will be meeting with Ann Lau, Chair of Visual Artists Guild and Joe Brown, President of the Pasadena Chapter of NAACP to discuss the closure of the Voice of America Chinese language broadcast into China. Although the overall budget of Voice of American has been increased, there is a planned closure of the Chinese language broadcast into China. This meeting is to provide Congressman Adam Schiff with a list of signatures opposing to the closure as well as information as to why there should not be a closure.
