WHO: (from 7-8:30pm) U.S. Premiere of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES-STORIES FROM CHINA. This film integrates three different stories centering around a Chinese production of The Vagina Monologues at Sun Yat-sen University. Intercut are explicit stories of abuse from Chinese students and their parents’ reaction. Also shown is a prominent case of mistreatment that went to trial inChina. The candor of the participants is remarkable. A Talk Back will follow the screening.

WHAT: The Visual Artists Guild is sponsoring the ART & DEMOCRACY IV Exhibition to highlight the 20 Year Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the Fall of the Berlin Wall with the work of 35 acclaimed artists highlighting the political and social struggles of our world and the human desire for civil liberties.
