The Art and Democracy IV Exhibition will commemorate the 20th Anniversary of both the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the Fall of the Berlin Wall.

Following three successful shows in Los Angeles, this is the Visual Artists Guild's first New York exhibit.

Recognizing that ART is the most powerful vehicle for expression and that DEMOCRACY deals with the Rights of Society as a whole, we call on artists to submit works and proposals of all media relating to the political and social struggles of our world and the human desire for civil liberties.

Visual Artists Guild is a non-profit organization that champions the rights of freedom of speech and expression, the lifeblood of all artists.  Established in May 1985, its mission is to bring to the world's attention whenever such a right is threatened or suppressed.
