Mr. Song is a recipient of American Library Association's 2005 Paul Howard Award for Courage and winner of the 21st Centuray Librarian National Award by Syracuse University in 2004. Mr. Song is a librarian faculty of California State University, Los Angeles. He received his MA on China Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder and MLS at the Indiana University at Bloomington. He has long devoted himself to preserving the true history of China’s Cultural Revolution and combating government censorship through his myriad publications. He is a leading bibliographer on China studies, particularly on the Cultural Revolution (1966- 1976) internationally.
